Overview

The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is a landmark initiative driving Europe’s leadership in supercomputing and data infrastructure. By uniting the efforts of the EU, participating countries, and private partners, it accelerates the development of state-of-the-art HPC systems and ensures wide access to these resources for research, industry, and innovation.

Supporting this mission, the EPICURE project delivers advanced user support across all EuroHPC systems, offering expert services in performance optimization, code scalability, and benchmarking. Together, EuroHPC JU and EPICURE empower European scientists and innovators with the computational tools needed to tackle critical challenges and advance technological excellence.

The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking

The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is a significant European initiative aimed at enhancing Europe’s digital infrastructure by supporting the development and deployment of cutting-edge supercomputing and data infrastructure. Established in 2018, EuroHPC JU is a collaboration between the European Union, European countries, and private stakeholders, with the goal of positioning Europe as a leader in the field of High-Performance Computing (HPC).

The initiative focuses on the creation of world-class supercomputing resources, including exascale machines, and providing access to these resources for research, innovation, and industry across various sectors, such as healthcare, climate research, and artificial intelligence. EuroHPC JU also promotes the development of HPC technologies, software, and applications, fostering innovation and ensuring Europe’s competitiveness in the global HPC landscape. By pooling resources and expertise, EuroHPC JU aims to deliver strategic capabilities for advancing science, technology, and economic growth in Europe.

The EPICURE project

EPICURE offers a wide range of support services for all the EuroHPC users who apply for it: it is a EuroHPC JU funded project providing Level 2 and Level 3 support. This four-year project brings together the Application Support Teams (ASTs) of all the current and future Hosting Entities of the EuroHPC JU systems. Once you have applied for the EuroHPC JU Access Calls and filled in the EPICURE support form, and if your EuroHPC JU application has been granted, the EPICURE team will contact you to assess how it will be able to support you.
